RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE
The residential college is the second center of learning after the lecture hall and is complementary to all Universities. At UPSI, we provide 5 residential colleges located in the Sultan Azlan Shah Campus and 1 Off-Campus Housing Units, namely KHAR College, KUO College, KAHS College, KAB College, KZ College and UKLK. Below are the details for each residential college:
This college has 6 blocks which are 2 blocks for male students and 4 blocks for female students. Maximum capacity for KHAR college is 3456 students. Each house in a block has 3 rooms and each room accommodates 2 double decker beds. This makes one house can be inhabited by 12 students.

This college has 4 blocks which are 1 block for male students and 3 blocks for female students. Maximum capacity for KAB college is 1820 students. Each house in a block has 3 rooms and only room 1 and room 2 use two double decker beds and room 3 used single bed. This makes one house can be inhabited by 10 students. KAB college is also a placement for students who are members of PALAPES throughout their studies at UPSI.

The college has 5 blocks but 1 block is used for renting to outsiders. The remaining 4 blocks are divided into 1 block for male students and 3 blocks for female students. The maximum capacity for KZ college is 2100 students. Each house in a block has 3 rooms and only room 1 and room 2 use two double decker beds and room 3 uses single beds. This makes one house habitable for 10 students. KZ College is also the placement of students who are members of SUKSIS and SISPA throughout their studies at UPSI.

The Outside Campus Residence Unit (UKLK) which was established in 2002 with the aim of looking after the welfare of students living in housing areas around UPSI is now rapidly carrying out various activities that benefit students in particular and the community in general. The idea of establishing this unit is to take into account the number of students who are close to 60 percent who live in residential areas around Tanjong Malim. Therefore, UPSI through the Department of Student and Alumni Affairs (JHEPA) feels that the most strategic step to monitor the safety and welfare of outside campus students is to establish a unit that can interact with students and then become a liaison between the university and outside campus students.
